Mission Statement
The goal and mission of the Multicultural
Concerns Committee is to provide resources, educate, and
celebrate the greatness of a diverse church. We must
celebrate and thank God for the gifts given to each of us
and it is the committee’s duties to look for ways the
church can be more inclusive, to be sure the church
maintains a multicultural outlook and outreach, to set and
show examples of diversity at work in congregations, and
to do all things as Christ intended us through the Gospel.
We must learn about our differences, but celebrate
together in the name of Jesus Christ!
Our Logo
Butterflies come in many colors just as people come
from many ethnicities. There is no dominant color but
blended together the colors give the butterfly its beauty
and also serve as protecting camouflage. So it is with the
church, no one color or ethnic group is predominant but we
work together to create beauty and harmony. The
Multicultural Concerns Committee has selected the
butterfly as a logo because it represent people of all
cultures and ethnicities working and living together in a
new life in Christ.
