FAQ's: Question 1: What is the All-Ohio Rostered Ministers Gathering? This is a shared event between the Northeastern, Northwestern, and Southern Ohio Synods. It is an opportunity for collegiality, education, and rejuvenation among synod rostered ministers along with those serving in lay pastoral roles as Synod Authorized Ministers and TEEM candidates.
Question 2: This year’s format is different from past years. What is the format? This year, the event is divided into 2 parts (online education and in-person retreat). These are (mostly) independent events that will occur on separate dates. Attend the training or the retreat or both. Because the trainers have found that online workshops with limited numbers of participants achieves the best results, we could not do this training in a large in-person setting. As a result, those interested in the training may choose from several dates to attend an online workshop. The in-person retreat, which is scheduled after all the training, provides an opportunity to debrief the training, gather for worship, refresh friendships, make new connections, and relax.
Question 3: Tell me more about the online training. Topic: Loving Your Neighbor in the Age of Microaggressions (see separate document for a description of the training and the trainers’ bios) Online - via Zoom One 3-hour session *Group size is limited - may need to move people to minimize the number of groups (be sure to include your phone number).* Dates will be removed when the groups are full. If you wish to register but the date(s) that work for you are not available, contact [email protected] and let us know as space may become available later on.
